The goalkeeper depends on gloves that provide the best grip and feel for the ball, and at the highest level, it's the small details that matter – ultimately, the outcome of the match depends on the goalkeeper's focus and saves.
Most professional goalkeepers choose gloves characterized by internal stitching and a tight design (negative cut). This doesn't allow for much mobility, but the snug fit makes ball contact more direct and therefore more optimal.
Additionally, the gloves must feel comfortable, ensure the necessary grip on the ball, and protect against hits and kicks.
